Cookies are small pieces of data passed from the server to the client browser. Cookies will typically be used for state or tracking purposes. RiskIQ collects this data set through our virtual users––advanced web crawlers––then stores this information inside of our database. Analysts can pivot on the name of the cookie or the domain under which it was observed being delivered.
A quick overview can be found on our RiskIQ youtube.
